Using your phone abroad

What roaming costs inside and outside the EU.

Last updated 2026-06-01

Roaming in the EU and EEA

Calls, texts and data within the EU and EEA cost the same as at home, up to the roaming data allowance of your plan: 3 GB on Start 5, 15 GB on Smart 30 and 40 GB on Unlimited Max.

After the allowance, data costs 2.50 SEK per GB.

Roaming outside the EU

Outside the EU we sell travel passes in the Nordvik app. The World Pass costs 99 SEK for 1 GB valid for 7 days in 64 countries, including Thailand, Turkey and Japan.

Unlimited Max customers get 1 GB per month in the USA, Canada and the UK without buying a pass.
